Requirements updated after 2021 changes

• Have a formal job offer from a Panamanian company

• Register your own company within the country

• Make a minimum investment of $200,000, either through:

  • The purchase of a property in Panama, or

  • A fixed-term deposit in a Panamanian bank for 3 years

• Hold a bank account (especially when including dependents)

• Provide valid personal documentation, such as:

  • Criminal background certificate

  • Passport with at least six months of validity

  • Marriage or birth certificates (if applicable)

🔎 Note: If dependents are included, the investment must be increased by $2,000 for each. Additionally, property investments can be financed through a mortgage.
